Great American Log Furniture was founded in 1985 by Dave Carter. The company quickly built a solid reputation for quality craftsmanship, reliability, and fair pricing.

In 2000, the company was purchased by Terry & Julie Heneghan. The couple had years of experience working together. For fourteen years it was building and running the successful Idaho Country Inn, a ten room bed and breakfast Inn, in Sun Valley. During the process of designing and decorating the inn, they first used Great American Log Furniture, and developed a passion for “Mountain Style” (home furnishing in natural materials that reflect a love of the outdoors.)

After the sale of the Inn, the coupled wanted a new creative outlet. Terry had been building log furniture in the garage of the Inn, so the Great American Log Furniture Company seemed a perfect fit. It is their objective to keep the great things at Great American going, and add some new and exciting designs. Returning customers have been pleased with the same great service and the new diverse choices. New customers are thrilled with the excellent craftsmanship and timeless style.
